My current research interests include critical discourse analysis, language, gender, and sexuality, and queer subjectivities and citizenships in South Korea. I am primarily interested in the ways in which certain ideologies are (re)produced through discourse.
Outside of my research, I am also actively involved in discussions on decolonial approaches to teaching and research within applied linguistics, through my participation in (Un)group. I am dedicated to making academia a more accessible space that embraces diverse forms of scholarship.
